WHO WE ARE

We are a UK based leading educational print publishing company, specialising in university and college branded bespoke student notebooks. Founded in 2008, our vision was to put a free notebook in the hands of every student. The secret of our success lies in a new kind of notebook, created in partnership with the world’s top undergraduate/graduate employers.

Our unique design patented Smart Notebooks are tailored to meet the needs of each individual university. They feature a customised cover page, up to 32 pages of bespoke university content, a monthly academic planner, term or semester timetable pages and 160 lined ruled note pages in multi-subject format featuring die-cut tab section dividers customised with university content. This enable universities to include their own branding and targeted information.

Our bespoke notebooks are an effective communication tool for prospective, new, and returning students throughout the academic year. 

OUR STORY

The story of Smart Notebooks began in the classroom, with our ambition to meet the needs of all students with a simple yet effective product. Achieving first prize at the University of Gloucestershire’s Annual Business Plan Competition in 2009 enabled us to bring our Smart Notebook initiative to life. In just a few years we have grown into a leading student notebook company, having delivered over one million notebooks to more than 60 universities across the UK.

We pride ourselves on working with some of the world’s most prestigious institutions including the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, MIT, University College London, the London School of Economics and King’s College London.

INNOVATION

Continuing positive feedback from students and universities has enabled us to develop our distribution networks. We now deliver our customised notebooks worldwide through our local subsidiary companies in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Dubai.

Environment

• We believe in creating a socially responsible brand and a sustainable product.
• We produce our premium quality student notebooks using 100% recycled paper made from post-consumer waste, FSC certified sustainable paper and eco-friendly water based inks. We have implemented BSI ISO 14001 environmental management standard for our manufacturing production process.
• We recycle all manufacturing and packaging waste.
• We undergo regular audits 
• We educate our employees, suppliers and customers on environmentally-friendly approach to business. We demand that our partners meet the same high environmental standards as we do.

Corporate Social Responsibility

We believe in giving something back to our local community. We are proud to support Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, which helps to transform the lives of seriously ill children from across the UK.

We also support Save The Children Charity to give disadvantaged children the best possible chance in life, donating one penny to both good causes for every notebook we sell.

In addition, we supply free notebooks and educational books to under privileged school children in Gloucestershire.
